CGP Ep205 Developing your OWN Training Philosophy

#glisteners coach glass podcast Oct 11, 2017

“I'm a KB guy, I'm a Zumba guy I'm a …” This episode was sparked by a #YOJAY sent from Sam Cunningham who was looking for advice on how to create or develop his own training philosophy.

Finding your philosophy is easy and complex at the same time.

Take away the names of the sources in which you learnt the various techniques that you use and look at each element as a building block for your philosophy. “

This is a TPI exercise” No it's not. It's an exercise.

"This is a CrossFit technique” No it's not… it is a circuit of exercises.

Now that you have that out of the way, look at what you do with your athletes each day. How do you tie it all together? You are an individual with unique experiences and unique skills.

That unique way that you use the information you have and react to your environment is your philosophy.
